Strike Eagles are two-seat fighters. The Weapons Systems Officer (WSO, or “wizzo”) sits behind the pilot, and is directly involved in operations of the aircraft and weapons systems.
The video below shows a Strike Eagle WSO spending another day at the office, while his pilot roars them over the UK countryside.

Did you know?
The backseat of the F-15E Strike Eagle has a control stick and rudder pedals, but WSOs are not trained to fly the jet. Their forward view is also largely obstructed by the instrument panel and the pilot’s seat.
