Watch Raptors over Iraq Video
More about the video
A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker refuels A U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor over northern Iraq, Nov. 6, 2019. U.S. Air Forces Central Command operations deter adversaries and demonstrate support for allies and partners in the region.
Raptors being in the neighborhood isn’t entirely surprising with northern Iraq, considering the recent escalation of activity by the Russia military along the Turkish border following the US withdrawal.
No doubt these fifth-generation fighters are meant to subtly check the advances and aggressions of Russia in the region, now that a new norm appears to be settling.
