Kristin “BEO” Wolfe: First Woman F-35 Demo Pilot Announced

The US Air Force announced Capt. Kristin “BEO” Wolfe as its newest F-35A Lightning II demo pilot. Wolfe previously flew the F-22 Raptor, and has over 800 flight hours in fifth-generation stealth aircraft. She is the first woman selected to represent the United States and the US Air Force worldwide as an F-35 demo pilot.

The official announcement included a video introduction release directly from the F-35 Demo Team’s YouTube channel.

Wolfe Family’s Fighter History

Wolfe is a second-generation fighter pilot. Her father, retired Col. John Wolfe, served 28 years in the Air Force, and flew the F-15C Eagle, America’s premier air superiority fighter at the time.

F-35 Demo Team 2020 Schedule

The F-35A Lightning II Demo Team is scheduled to appear at more than 20 shows and events in 2020. Most appearances will feature a demonstration routine specially designed to showcase the aerial capabilities of the US Air Force’s most advanced multi-role fighter.
